Teams are comprised of advanced level players who have professional, college, major junior, and similar playing experience.

"B" |

Teams are comprised of advanced level players who may have junior, college club, Midget AAA, prep/varsity high school, and similar playing experience.

"C" |
|
Teams are comprised of a combination of intermediate to lower advanced players. Many players have played at higher levels or have worked their way up from lower levels.
|
"D" |
|
Teams are comprised of entirely intermediate players. Players may have some youth hockey experience, but are several years removed from those levels and returning as adults. Players typically have extensive adult playing experience.
|
"Novice A" |
|
Teams are comprised of a combination of novice to lower intermediate players. Players may have a few years of youth experience, but are several years removed and returning as adults. Players typically have six to eight years of playing experience, or equivalent skill.

"Novice B" |
|
Teams are comprised primarily of players with adult novice hockey experience. Players have three to five years of playing experience, or equivalent skill.

* In order to avoid younger, more experienced players in the Novice B divisions, there is a 25 year age minimum. Exceptions may be made for players with no youth, high school, or college hockey experience. Captains must contact California Hockey Productions with requests for exceptions and include player's full name, birthdate, and playing history.

"Novice C" |

Teams are comprised entirely of players with adult novice hockey experience. Players have three years or less of playing experience, or equivalent skill.

"45+ Upper" |

Teams are comprised of players that are 45 years of age or older. Player's skill levels vary, but are generally intermediate to advanced. Players likely have higher level hockey experience, but are several years removed.

** The 45+ divisions are not guaranteed and will be determined by the number of teams that register. If there are not enough teams to field either of these divisions, teams will be placed accordingly in one of the open divisions based on skill.

"45+ Lower" |
|
Teams are comprised of players that are 45 years of age or older. Player's skill levels vary, but are generally intermediate to advanced. Players likely have higher level hockey experience, but are several years removed.
